How It Works
Four steps. No downloads, no addons, no desktop app. Everything runs in the browser and syncs with Blizzard's official API.
Sign up with your email. We use AWS Cognito — no passwords stored on our end, and email verification keeps bots out.
One click, one OAuth flow. We pull your character list — name, realm, class, guild — so you can prove which guild you actually belong to. We never see your Blizzard password.
If your guild is unclaimed, you can claim it by providing a Blizzard API key (more on that below) and verifying you're the guild leader or an officer. If it's already claimed, you can still join as a member with any of your characters in that guild.
Your guild gets a live roster page at theguildvault.com/<realm>/<guild>. Share it anywhere. Updates every 30 minutes automatically — or anyone can force a refresh.

See It Live
Every claimed guild gets a public roster page you can share with recruits, link in your Discord, or use for raid prep.
Each guild gets its own 36,000 requests/hour budget from Blizzard. If we used one shared key, popular guilds would throttle everyone else. Per-guild keys mean no throttling, no shared rate limits, and your data never competes with someone else's. Creating a key is free and takes about two minutes at develop.battle.net.
Your API client secret is encrypted with AES-256-GCM before being written to our database. The plaintext never leaves memory during the save. Even if someone somehow got access to our servers, they'd see encrypted blobs, not credentials.
Character name, class, spec, role, item level, M+ rating, season best key, tier set pieces, full gear breakdown with enchant and gem status. Basically everything you'd normally tab through the armory to check, shown side-by-side for your whole guild.
Max every 30 minutes when someone visits or refreshes their Guild page. If nobody looks at the page, nothing updates... until they do.
Yes. One account can claim as many guilds as you have characters in. Each guild you claim uses its own API key and gets its own roster page that anyone can view.
No. Free while we're building it out. If we eventually charge, it'd only be for advanced features like raid teams, attendance tracking, or ad removal — core roster tracking stays free.
We stay on top of it. When a new expansion or season goes live, we push the update so your roster pages seamlessly switch to the new data — no action needed on your end.
Those are great for individual characters. The Guild Vault is for the guild. You get every member's gear, enchants, and scores on one page — no clicking through 25 separate character profiles.
Free for now, fast to set up, no downloads.
